As we approach December our social calendars fill up and it can become challenging to stay organized. We have a tendency to run out of time for the important things in life - health and fitness being one of them.
In todays blog the GWA team each share a tip that will hopefully help you stay stress free and give you some time so you can stay committed to your health during the busiest season of the year.
Jon - I have a cycling coach who plans all my workouts. I commute to work and do my workouts on the way in (if I leave it until the ride home, sometimes I'm too tired). I also have 2 scheduled lifts per week, and I have training partners to make me accountable.
Troy - I schedule my workouts at the beginning of the week. 6 days of fitness and 1 rest day. At this time of year I always make sure to get my fitness in each day before any Christmas fun !
Donny - I make sure to use software to keep track of appointments and every night I look at the next day’s schedule and decide what I'm going to accomplish during my breaks.
Alsie- I write out a daily list of things that need to get done each day , point form.
Chelsie - I jot down all my obligations, appointments and to-do's in my day planner and on my whiteboard calendar at home. I check it each day and create a follow through plan each Sunday for the coming week, to give structure to my days...things come up and do not always go as planned but you do the best you can with the time you've got.
Sofie - As soon as I make arrangements I mark them on my calendar in my kitchen, this helps me not only remember plans but also means I don’t double book myself. I am also not afraid to say no, one time over I said yes to every invite but this only lead to me burning the candle at both ends. I am now selective in what I say yes and no to, time is precious, spend it wisely!
Brandon - -I do a big grocery shop every Sunday so that I have food at home (during long breaks) and food at work for the busy hours. I then plan and prepare my meals every Sunday so that I don't starve myself during the week or end up eating out.
Sam - So for me around Christmas time the thing that keeps me more aware of staying organized etc. is my budget. I try to save a certain amount of money per paycheck and per month. Around the holidays I take some time off and with less money coming in I have to stay more organized in terms of expenses. That's just one thing that helps me around this time.
Al - This time of year I always make sure to have some $$$ saved up. With Christmas coming up and less people wanting to personal train due to busy schedules it is good to have the extra safety blanket. Which means
Jos - I have all my Christmas cards made and ready to give out by December 1st. Having this done is one less thing to do in the busiest month.
Thanks for reading guys, we hope you can all take something from this weeks blog and stay committed to your training sessions over Christmas. If we can do it, so can you!!
