Brooks McNiven and Canada Close to Olympic Birth

One of our athletes, Brooks McNiven a right handed pitcher, is competing for Team Canada in an 2008 Olympic Games Qualifier. The tournament is being held in Taiwan and Team Canada's record is 4-1. They have two games left one against Korea and Germany. Canada beat Chinease Taipei in extra innings in a wild game in front of 21,000 people that included both the benches clearing. In an email description to us from Brooks said "it was the most unbelievable baseball game that i have ever been a part of. They were throwing bottles at us and we needed a police escort to the hotel" Brooks is scheduled to start next against Germany. For more info check out Baseball.ca
