Groundwork Athletics Inc.

Team GWA took part in the first Spartan Race in North Vancouver on Saturday. Our team of four: Alan Winterflood, Alan Horkoff, Kate Pecknold & Gareth Bowley scrambled through fire, rock carrying, barbed wire, mud, cargo nets, spear tosses, wall climbing, and gladiators to complete it. Congratulations to them and also Joanna Rudge and Clive Bolt who train out of GWA for competing.

So we had a great turnout of 18 people to the excursion!!  The session was led by Ina from the Yeti Snowshoe Series Race and we did a number of running loops within the trees up at Mount Seymour.  There is not much snow up there but we made the best of it, thanks to everyone who came out!  Next month`s GWA Excursion: Private Wine Tasting at John Clerides Marquis Wine Store.
