Matt Moulson, Jeff Tambellini, Pat Quinn, Troy Dalton
On Saturday I got a chance to play road hockey at the O-Zone in Richmond with Pat Quinn (Edmonton Oilers Head Coach), Matt Moulson (NY Islanders), Jeff Tambellini (NY Islanders), and BC’s Mayors. After we played the mayors all the kids in the crowd got to come out and don a jersey to play with the NHLers. It was such a cool Canadian experience!! GWA Athlete Jeff Tambellini scored a hat trick against the Buffalo Sabres on Saturday night in a 5-0 win that included an unbelievable first goal. He now has 6 goals in the last four games and the Islanders have won 3 straight. It was a special night for Jeff as his dad, Edmonton Oilers General Manager Steve Tambellini, was in the stands watching. The Oilers play the Islanders on Monday night. Congratualtions Jeff!
Jeff Tambellini of the New York Islanders scored two powerplay goals last night in the Montreal Forum in a 3-2 OT loss to the Montreal Canadiens. He tied the game with under 4 minutes remaining in the third period only to have Roman Hamrlik score the winner in OT. Speaking with Jeff after the game he said it is all due to training at Groundwork Athletics…..
